Until further notice Morning Prayer will take place in Church at 9.00 am before the Blessed Sacrament, Monday through to Thursday, except Wednesdays, when Morning Prayer will commence at 8.50 am followed at 9.10 am by Novena Prayers to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour prior to Mass in the Iona Chapel.
St. Columba’s: Between 6.00 pm and 6.25pm before the Vigil Mass. At other times by arrangement with Fr. Jonathan.

NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS AND PILGRIMAGE, ADOREMUS:
Places for Mass at 9.30a.m on Sunday 9th September in Liverpool Metropolitian Cathedral may be requested online either as an individual or as a group at www.jumpdp.com/adoremus2018. Although tickets are free, a processing fee applies £3.50pp. The 11.30a.m. Mass on Sunday is fully booked. Places are still available to hear the inspirational and motivational Bishop Robert Barron on Saturday 8th September in Liverpool Echo Arena and can be booked via your parish. ANNUAL COACH TRIP TO SHEFFIELD FRIDAY 27th JULY:
There are still seats available on the coach which will leave St Columba’s car park at 8.45a.m. and St Theresa’s at 9.00a.m. There is a list in the front porch of both Churches for names. Also an overview of some things you might wish to see in Sheffield i.e. 2 Cathedrals indoor and outdoor gardens and much more. The price of the trip is £12 per head to be paid by Friday 21st July. Paul W will be in St Columba’s hall after 11:00 Mass on Sunday 15th July for anyone wishing to pay for the trip.
In celebration of 100 years Foundation in Birkenhead, a Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Mark Davies on the Feast of Mount Carmel on 16th July at 7pm. All Welcome.
BLACON CHURCHES TOGETHER:
Songs of Praise will take place at 12.30 p.m. Saturday 4th August at Blacon Old Station. Bring a picnic.

ROSARY & AFTERNOON TEA- 12th July:
There will be the Rosary and afternoon tea in St Theresa’s parish garden at 2pm on Thursday 12th July. All welcome. No charge but donations towards the garden would be appreciated.

CHESTER ACROSS GROUP:
Chester Across Group urgently require another nurse (or Doctor) to travel overland to Lourdes by Jumbulance. Now in our 25th year, sadly, one of our nurses has withdrawn so another is needed. Dates: Thu 30th August to Sat 8th Sept. Cost. Nurses are asked to pay half price – £400 – but we do fund raising to subsidise anyone who cannot afford to pay the full amount. YOUTH GROUP (10 TO 14 YEARS):
The last meeting of the youth group before the summer break is tomorrow, Monday 9th July, beginning at 7.15 pm in the Iona chapel, finishing at 9pm.
Bike racks have recently been installed at both our churches – and they have started to be used! Our thanks go to Peter Bulmer for arranging for the supply of the racks from Cheshire West & Chester Council.
SVP COLLECTION OF TOILETRIES:
We will be doing a collection of toiletries for people supported by Chester Aid to the Homeless. They have asked in particular for disposable razors, spray on deodorants, sun creams and also during this hot weather tee shirts, shorts and sun hats. Please place any donations in the boxes at the back of the Church.
