Could those Parishioners holding Red Mission Boxes please leave them in the Sacristy for Marg Curtis. You can collect them, once emptied, from the table in the rear porch of the Church.

There are Christmas cards, calendars and diaries available on the table at the back of church. Please have a look on your way out.
CAFOD FUNDRAISING AND CAMPAIGN:
The new World Gifts catalogues hold a range of virtual gifts that make a real difference to communities around the world. Not only are these great gifts for friends and family, they are also a way to keep Christ’s love for the poorest members of our global family at the heart of Christmas giving. Catalogues are in the porches of both churches.
Share the Journey – Pope Francis’ global campaign for the rights of people on the move. Cards, which give details of the campaign, urge the Prime Minister and all world leaders to sign agreements which offer hope and protection to those forced to flee their homes. The cards are available in the porches of both churches for you to sign. Signed cards can be sent directly to CAFOD or left in the basket and Ann McCarthy will collect them.
The Department for Education wants to recruit Catholic teachers to its schools, and is aware that across the Diocese there are a number of Catholic teachers who are not currently or have never worked in a Catholic school. Sometimes making the transition back to Catholic education can be perceived as difficult, and we offer support to those teachers who are considering returning to the Catholic sector or would like more information on the appointment process in our schools. An informal session will be held on Tuesday 15th January at Ellesmere Port Catholic High School, Capenhurst Lane, Ellesmere Port, CH65 7AQ from 6 – 7.30 pm. If you would like to attend or want further information about returning to Catholic education, please e-mail Sue Jenkinson on email@example.com
THE COMMUNION ANTIPHON:
There is some confusion over whether we say the Communion Antiphon. According to the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM: 86 & 87), which sets out in detail how the Mass is to be celebrated, the Communion Chant is to be sung from the time the Priest receives the Sacrament and continues until all have received Communion, unless there is to be a further hymn after Communion or it is necessary to allow the singers to receive Communion. If there is no singing, the Communion Antiphon is said as at present.
