MORNING PRAYER (St Columba’s):

Until further notice Morning Prayer will take place before the Blessed Sacrament in Church Monday through to Thursday, except Wednesdays, when Morning Prayer will commence at 8.50 a.m. followed at 9.10 a.m. by Novena Prayers to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour prior to Mass in the Iona Chapel.

CONFESSIONS:

St. Columba’s: Between 6.00p.m. and 6.25p.m. before the Vigil Mass. At other times by arrangement with Fr. Jonathan.

St. Theresa’s: Confessions are heard after every weekday Mass.

BAPTISMS:

St. Columba’s: By appointment. After speaking to Fr. Jonathan to arrange a date, please contact Claire O’Donnell, 07743 704383.

FAREWELL GIFT FOR FR. JONATHAN AND FR. ISIDORE.

Envelopes will be available in church for the next few weeks for those who wish to donate to a collection for Fr. Jonathan and Fr. Isidore. Please put the name of the intended recipient on the envelope and put it in the normal church collection plate.

VOLUNTEER MISSIONARY MOVEMENT:

At Masses next weekend there will be a volunteer speaker from the charity VMM, the Voluntary Missionary Movement. It is an international lay Christian movement which recruits, trains and sends volunteers to share their skills in the developing world. A collection will be taken in support of their work. CHILDREN’S LITURGY (St Theresa’s):

This will start again in September.

RED MISSION BOXES:

Could those parishioners holding Red Mission Boxes please leave them in the Sacristy Safe for Marg Curtis. Your box can be collected from the table in the rear Church porch. Thank you for your continued support.

MASS FOR THE SICK AND HOUSEBOUND:

This will take place at St. Theresa’s at 2.30pm on Sunday 29th September. If you know of anyone needing a lift please put their names on the list at the back of church or ring either of the parish offices.

DAY OF REFLECTION, SATURDAY 5th OCTOBER:

A Day of Reflection and Healing for those affected by mental health issues and their families. Bishop Richard Moth, who leads the ministry to those affected by mental health issues, will lead this day of reflection and celebrate Mass with anointing of the sick at St. Columba’s Church, from 11am to 5pm. More information in September.
