SCHOOL FOUNDATION GOVERNORS NEEDED:

Our Catholic Schools need Foundation Governors. Every four years the Diocese needs to find new governors for our Catholic Schools to replace foundation governors who are coming to the end of their term of office. Foundation governors are practising Catholics who are willing to give up some their own time to be school governors. In addition to the recent Diocesan events we have organised our own information evening here in Chester for anyone who would be interested in finding out more. Speakers will include John McCann from the Diocese, and governors from our primary schools and the High School will be there to talk about their experience.

PARISH BUILDINGS COMMITTEE:

As many of you are aware, the sound system in church was not working last week-end. The problem was not with the sound system itself but was the result of work done by electrical contractors whom the Diocese had sent in to attend to various matters identified in their survey last year. The contractors inadvertently put the system out of action. They are still working in the church this week and assure us that the problem will be rectified for the week-end.
